Etymology: Comes from Latin rosarium meaning rose garden.

A devotional prayer, both mental and vocal, that honors the Blessed Mother of God.  A string of beads is used which is made up of five sets consisting of one large and ten small beads, called decades.  It is the most popular devotion of all non-liturgical Catholic devotions and has been highly recommended by many popes and saints.
